Has To Be A Loose Fit
Dancing On Ice returns tomorrow night and pre-series the value looks rather threadbare. It has developed into a recent reality tv trend that the bookies have got their AP prices pretty much spot on. Hayley Tamaddon was a short price at the outset of last year’s DOI, while Kara Tointon, Stacy Solomon and Matt Cardle are three more who were strongly fancied from the start of DOI, IAC and XF 2010 respectively.
The Net rumour mill suggests Sam Attwater and Laura Hamilton are both excellent skaters. It’s a no-brainer to back both at current best prices of 5-2 and 4-1 respectively, scaling bets to ensure a similar profit should either prevail.
The value resides in working out who that third finalist might be. We have a Coleen Nolan situation in the shape of Loose Women favourites Denise Welch and Nadia Sawalha. The latter seems the more likeable of the pair in pre-series VTs, though word on the street is Welch is no mug on skates. We suggest backing both each-way but you should hold firm until some better prices become available than the miserly 25s currently offered.
The two males we think could prove value outsiders are Dave Vitty, courtesy of his Radio 1, Chris Moyles following, and Craig McLachlan, probably still remembered fondly by 30+ females for his former role as Henry Ramsay in Neighbours.
He comes across as a real live wire in his VT. Again though, hold fire until better each-way prices are chalked up.
Nadia is fav to be eliminated tomorrow night at Evens but we reckon her LW following will see her through, so suggest laying her on Betfair at anything around that price.
Our tip to be among the first 2 to go is Angela Rippon at 11-8 with Skybet. She comes across as somewhat stern and frosty and it’s difficult to see where her vote is going to come from.
