Last Dance For Danniella?

Dancing On Ice – Next Elimination – Danniella Westbrook 3-1 (Betfred and Stan James)

It was great to see Danniella get herself back in contention in Dancing On Ice. Her performance as the vampish secretary was outstanding and has to go down as one of the most memorable – and from a male perspective, raunchy – routines the show has ever served up, and certainly a personal highlight:

The worry for Danniella supporters is that the required element in the semi-final is a solo skate, which puts the onus firmly back on skating ability, and this is where she would appear weaker than Gary and Kieron. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that she can produce something of a similar standard and can excel again in the performance side of her routine. That said, and as sad as it would be to see her not make the final, at the current elimination odds we have to recommend Danniella at 3-1 with Betfred and Stan James.
Gary Lucy continues to get a healthy public vote despite the performance side of his skating being insipid at best and looks to have a strong chance of making it through once more. Out of him and Kieron, we are far sweeter on Kieron’s Outright chances though because he has had more of a journey on the show, and continues to improve. For this reason, we reckon the 16-1 Kieron is worth taking with Betfred on the Outright.
With a slight doubt over Hayley’s fitness due to a rib injury we certainly wouldn’t put you off backing Danniella on the Outright as well at 12-1 (bet365, totesport, Boylesports, extrabet). Like Kieron, if she can squeeze through those odds will shorten, and she, too, would have more potential than Gary of toppling Hayley in the final because of that all important ‘J’ word.
