Jukebox Juniors & Matt Koon To Duke Out Final
It’s the Got To Dance final on Sunday and the bookies are finding it hard to pick out an outright favourite, with 5 of the 6 finalists considered contenders, currently trading between 100-30 and 9-2.
The Box have leapt into contention after they melted viewers’, and the judging panel’s, hearts last Sunday with a magical routine that looked like something out of a fairytale. We have our doubts whether they will have quite the same impact one week later when they, along with all other finalists, will be asked to perform a completely new routine.
This is a crucial point to factor in, because it means Emily and Jukebox Juniors, qualifiers from the first semi-final, have had two weeks longer to hone their final routines compared to last Sunday’s two qualifiers.
As solo performers Akai and Emily could lack the diversity to blow away the opposition in the final – and we don’t hold out much hope now of collecting on our initial tip in the series of Emily at 4-1 – whereas you sense Matthew Koon’s dancing has the potential to go up another notch.
Among the groups, Jukebox Juniors remain the stand out for the sheer fun and visual delight of their synchronised moves and dance gymnastics, and they get votes for their cuteness to boot. So we recommend smashing into Matthew Koon at 4-1 to add to our earlier advice of backing Jukebox Juniors at 12s and 5s.
