Tommy Set To Secure Series Win

Feb 11, 2010 by

Lizzie, Charlie, Robbie and Tommy will battle it out on Saturday night for the SYTYCD crown, and if you’ve taken our advice throughout the course of the series you should be sitting pretty.
As predicted here, Alastair and Mandy were eliminated last Saturday and Tommy is now a best-priced 13-10 on the Outright and 4-11 to be Top Male. We have bigged up Tommy’s chance since the start of the series (see ‘Franzen A Handsome Bet’) and amazingly he was available to back at 11-1 on the Outright and 11-2 to be Top Male but a short week ago – staggeringly generous odds that we advised you to snap up.

As he showed again last Saturday, he has amazing versatility and his solos are head and shoulders above his rivals. He has pulled off all the different dance styles he has been asked to perform in partnership with aplomb, and on Saturday he will hopefully get the chance to dance with Lizzie and do a hip hop routine – Tommy’s favoured dance genre.
Given what we assume to be a mainly female voting demographic it is difficult to see how either of the remaining female dancers will outpoll Tommy or Robbie on Saturday, and Tommy beat Robbie on the public vote last Saturday.
Tommy has proved himself the outstanding dancer over the course of the series and if he performs to the same level on Saturday we are confident he will win. Having also tipped Charlie at 16s at the start of the series, and with Robbie and Lizzie currently available to back at 7-2 and 7-1 respectively, you can’t go too far wrong.
The closest battle on Saturday is likely to be for Top Female honours, and at the respective odds, we still see value in backing Lizzie at a best-priced 7-4, who should benefit from being paired with Tommy.
