Stacey Rules Our World
So what did we learn from last night’s performances on X Factor? Not much more than we’ve sussed out already: namely, Joe has the best voice and Danyl isn’t nearly as good as Cowell would have the public believe.
He is pitchy as hell – unable to sing without going off key and hitting big notes in all the wrong places. But Cowell keeps telling the public he is great, absurdly backed up by the panel last night after a very poor rendition of Elton John’s Your Song.
Lloyd sang ok, I’m Still Standing better than A Million Love Songs. Louis gave him a harsh time again and this could have helped him get a few thousand more sympathy votes.
Olly’s performances were probably a bit better than last week and he may get the traditional spike having finished in the bottom 2.
Stacey comes across as so damn likeable, we reckon she’s probably top of the public vote and Rule The World got the full stage pyrotechnics to crank up the power of it – she looked messianic at one point:
Her modest demeanour and the whole Dagenham-single-mum-done-good appears the perfect blend when considering the X Factor voters.
The elimination looks between Lloyd and Danyl. Given Danyl has had yet more poor tabloid coverage this week, it’s probably worth throwing a few quid at 5-2 for him to get the boot.
If Lloyd is safe, there’s a clever theory doing the rounds that to crank up maximum drama, he will likely be announced safe first. We appreciate this hasn’t worked out for our followers in previous weeks but we reckon it’s worth another go. Take the 6-1 on this, and cover with Olly at 3s – because Olly being in the bottom 2 last week would also provide a shock first safe.
On the outright we think Stacey has drifted to a very tempting 100-30. She was tipped up here at 25s after her first audition and we suggest topping up at that price as we still make it a 2-horse race between her and Joe.
